To reduce GHG emissions from urban road transport and facilitate the transition to sustainable urban passenger mobility in Burundi with a focus on electrification.

To prevent the build-up of materials and chemicals in the environment that contain POPs and Mercury and other harmful chemicals in SIDS, and to manage and dispose of existing harmful chemicals and materials in SIDS

To create an enabling environment and evidence-based approach for managing the effects of human-wildlife conflict in the SADC region

Reduce the use and prevalence of harmful agrochemicals by supporting farmers to access finance, innovative practices, and markets required to incentivize sustainable practices.

Accelerating the introduction of electric mobility through development of legal, regulatory and institutional framework, public outreach, capacity building, demonstration pilots of electric vehicles, development of business models for private sector engagement and finance schemes for upscaling and replication.

To support the operationalization of the ABS national framework, by enabling access to genetic resources and associated traditional knowledge that accrues tangible national and local economic benefits from their commercial utilization in a fair, equitable, and sustainable manner.

To strengthen institutional biosecurity frameworks in the management of living modified organisms and invasive alien species through a coordinated risk analysis measure

To promote sustainable approaches to ecosystem conservation in the Imatong landscape of South Sudan

To reduce the use of mercury in the ASGM sector in Guinea through a holistic, multisectoral, integrated formalization approach, and increase access to traceable gold supply chains and finance for adoption of sustainable mercury free technologies

The project seeks to strengthen institutional, infrastructural, human & regulatory biosafety capacities of the Governments of Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Madagascar and Namibia in the implementation of NBFs in support of the CPB and (its) Nagoya-Kuala Lumpur Supplementary Protocol on Liability & Redress.

i) Provide technical support for developing ABS policy, legal, institutional and regulatory frameworks for The Gambia; (ii) Undertake to pilot of administrative or policy measures to implement community protocols, bioprospecting, and/or biotechnology research; and (iii) Promote ABS-compliant management of protected areas that support improvements in the conditions of biological and genetic resources for the Nyambai Forest Complex.

To strengthen national, regional and municipal capacity and actions to implement an integrated ecosystem management approach in the Dallol Bosso landscape in Niger
