Beijing, People's Republic of China, 24 April 2024 – United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) OzonAction Compliance Assistance Programme (CAP) team in Asia and the Pacific successfully co-organized the 2024 Ozone2Climate Technology Roadshow and Industry Roundtable from 8-9 April 2024.  This event took place during the 35th International Exhibition for Refrigeration, Air-Conditioning, Heating and Ventilation, Frozen Food Processing, Packaging and Storage, also known as the China Refrigeration Exhibition 2024.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 28 – 30 November 2023 ‒ UNEP’s OzonAction Asia-Pacific Compliance Assistance Programme (CAP) team, in collaboration with the Department of Environment, Ministry of Environment and Water of Malaysia, organized a three-day workshop that aimed to equip participants with the skills and knowledge to become effective master assessors of good servicing practices in the refrigeration and air-conditioning (RAC) servicing sector.

Paris, France, 26 June 2023 ‒ UNEP OzonAction joined with the World Refrigeration Day Secretariat and industry associations worldwide to celebrate World Refrigeration Day, 26 June. The focus of the 2023 campaign is “Next Generation Cooling” (NextGenCooling), both in the sense of technology and the people who design, manufacture install, and operate it.

Malé, Republic of the Maldives, 21–25 May 2023 – United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) OzonAction Compliance Assistance Programme (CAP) team in Asia and the Pacific organized a Network Meeting of South Asia (SA) National Ozone Officers (NOOs) and the Twinning National Ozone and Customs Officers Workshop on Ozone Depleting Substances (ODS) / Hydrofluorocarbons (HFC) Trade Control and Reporting. The Minister of Environment, Climate Change and Technology of the Maldives, H.E, Aminath Shauna, warmedy welcomed the participants to both meetings.

27 January 2023, Virtual ‒ National Ozone Officers (NOOs) of South Asia (SA), Southeast Asia (SEA) and Pacific Island Countries (PICs) Networks jointly discussed the 2023 Communications and Public Outreach Strategy through the two virtual consultation meetings on 18 and 26 January 2023. A total of 63 participants (39 females and 24 males) engaged in the virtual meetings.

Chiang Mai, Thailand, 6-7 October 2022 ‒ Twenty-one new National Ozone Unit (NOU) staff (female 11, male 10) in the South-Asia (SA) and Southeast Asia (SEA) Networks met on 6-7 October 2022 in Chiang Mai, Thailand to learn how to connect their day-to-day activities with the legacy of the Montreal Protocol.

17-19 July 2022, Bangkok, Thailand ‒ After conducting business through computer screens for the past two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Ozone Officers of the Asia and Pacific countries were enthusiastic to meet in-person for the first time in Bangkok, Thailand from 17-19 July at the Joint Meeting of the South Asia (SA), Southeast Asia (SEA) and Pacific Island Countries (PIC) Networks of National Ozone Officers.

Bangkok, Thailand, 29 April 2022 ‒ The National Ozone Officers in the South-Asia (SA), Southeast Asia (SEA) and Pacific Islands (PIC) Networks virtually gathered and agreed to have their first in-person Network meeting from 17-19 July 2022 in Bangkok, Thailand, back-to-back with the forty-fourth meeting of the Open-ended Working Group of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol (OEWG-44) from 11-16 July 2022 and the Fifth Extraordinary Meeting of the Parties to the Montreal Protocol (ExMOP5) on 16 July 2022.
