Empowering Equality in Environmental Management

26 September 2017, Apia, Samoa - The United Nations Environment Programme (UN Environment) and the Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme (SPREP) hosted a high-level dialogue on gender and environment as part of a training for equality-driven project development from 26–29 September in Apia.

The event graced by Hon. Mr Taefu Lemi, Associate Minister, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE) of Samoa, showcased best practices for inclusivity in environmental management. From project design, to hiring, to community consultation, there are many steps where inclusivity can be built into environmental work.
