Technology activities are spread across all of UN Environment’s seven thematic priorities including climate change, disasters and conflicts, ecosystem management, environmental governance, chemicals and waste, resource efficiency and environment under review. For the first time, a mapping survey was conducted across UN Environment to find out who does what on technology. This would help facilitate coordination and synergies between the various technology activities.
Analysis of the responses received revealed an important coverage of technology in relation to UN Environment’s thematic priorities, Multilateral Environmental Agreements (MEAs), Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the technology cycle.
