Watch the Head of our Central Asia Office on Kazkh TV

How can I switch to a car powered by gas? What is the Paris Agreement trying to do? What is a 'carbon footprint' and why is it important?

These questions and more are addressed in a recent Kazakh TV report on the climate challenge for Kazakhstan. UN Environment helps states fight climate change, which is threatening agriculture, water and habitats in Central Asia.

"There are many heat-generating companies powered by fossil fuels - even here in Almaty," stresses the Head of UN Environment's Central Asia Natalia Alexeeva.

"All these emissions released into the atmosphere contribute to climate change. So if states don't work to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, climate change will increase," she underlines, going on to speak on topics ranging from the choices we make when buying food to what climate security means for Kazakhstan.
