Biography

Margaret Otuke holds of a Bachelor’s degree in International Business Administration from the United States International University (USIU) – Africa.  She first joined the Education and Youth Unit in 1990. During her UN career, she has been responsible for the offices of the Deputy Executive Director, The Ombudsman, Division Director and the Division of Regional Co-operation & Regionalization (DRCR). She supported the Chief of Poverty & Environment Unit, and the China Adviser to the Director, Division of Regional Co-operation (DRC), later renamed the Regional Support Office (RSO). Since returning to the Environmental Education and Youth Unit, Margaret has been providing various services, including financial support in collaboration with FMOs and recruitment in collaboration with HR colleagues. She has also volunteered her time as a staff representative and as a member of the Baobab Awards' panel.
