Jacinto leads the private sector engagement activities of UNEP’s REDD+ and Sustainable Land Use team in Latin America from UNEP’s Regional Office for Latin America and the Caribbean in Panama City. He previously worked at UNEP Finance Initiative in Geneva where he coordinated the Initiative’s activities on sustainable land use. At UNEP Finance Initiative he also worked as the coordinator of the North American Task Force and of the Investment Commission. Prior to joining UNEP, he worked for a forestry company based in London. Jacinto holds an Executive Master of Public Administration (EMPA) and an MSc in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science and a BA in International Relations from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City.
