Arshia Chander is a multilingual and has Masters Degrees in French language and Business Administration from India and USA respectively. She currently manages the Administration and Funds for UN Environment's North America Office in Washington, DC.
She also serves as the Human Resources (HR) liaison officer. Prior to joining UN Environment, she worked as the Project Manager at the U. S. Geological Survey (USGS) Earth Resources Observation and Science (EROS) Center, Sioux Falls, SD to support the UN Environment Global Resource Information Database (GRID).
She has managed award winning UN Environment publications (Atlases of our Changing Environment, State of Environment Reporting and Outlook, Africa Water Atlas, etc.) while working with various governmental agencies from several countries. She also served as the Project Coordinator for UN Environment's Global Environmental Alert Service (GEAS).
