• Overview

The eighth edition of UN Environment’s Emissions Gap report will be launched at the Palais des Nations in Geneva on 31 October. The report tracks the policy commitments made by countries to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and analyses how these policies will translate into emissions reductions through 2030, clearly outlining the emissions gap and what it would take to bridge it. The event on 31 October will also witness the launch of The 1 Gigaton Report, which analyses greenhouse gas reductions resulting from renewable energy and energy efficiency.
