The 11th Annual Meeting of the United Nations Strategic Planning Network will be held in Nairobi, Kenya at the Tribe Hotel on the 2nd & 3rd December and at the United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) on the 4th December 2019.

Themed “Advancing Strategic Planning in the UN Reform Context”, the meeting aims to bring together a range of UN Agencies to facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices, promote innovation and joint initiatives, encourage common UN application of practices and explore mechanisms to provide strategic thinking on UN wide issues.

The UNSPN has been a great and invaluable resource for strategic planning professionals in the system, enabling exchange on shared challenges and opportunities, identification of best practices in addressing issues that are more often than not common concerns in the system, and in establishing a forward-looking perspective on developments ahead.

The annual meeting this year will focus on advancing strategic planning in the context of the UN Reform. The expected outcomes of this meeting will include identification of ways in which the network can be strengthened as a knowledge and information sharing platform and how it can have a more active role in supporting the UN Secretary General’s vision
