Marta Pizano: A trailblazer's path from research to global policy

Over a career spanning more than two decades, Marta has dedicated herself to the meticulous evaluation of substances impacting the atmosphere, with a particular focus on the phase-out of methyl bromide, an ozone-depleting chemical used extensively in agriculture. In 2005, Marta joined the Technical and Economic Assessment Panel (TEAP), a key body in providing technical and economic evaluations to the parties of the Montreal Protocol to support their decision-making processes regarding the protection of the ozone layer.
