Staff Advisory regarding the COVID-19 virus

Due to the ongoing spread of the COVID-19 virus, the staff of the United Nations Environment Programme Caribbean Environment Programme and Cartagena Convention Secretariat will be working remotely from 17th to 27th March 2020. At the end of this period, this arrangement will be revaluated based on the status of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Please be advised that the GEF IWEco Project Coordination Unit, which also operates from our office, will similarly be working remotely.

As is customary, staff members may be reached via their individual e-mail addresses. We continue to maintain our regular business hours, i.e. Mondays to Fridays, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

For general enquiries, please write to [email protected] and our Communications Team will respond at the earliest opportunity.

While we endeavour to operate as “business as usual”, we kindly ask that you bear with us in the event that you experience delays in responding to your requests.

For general information regarding the COVID-19 virus, as well as regular updates on the status of this pandemic, please visit the website of the World Health Organization as well as the new United Nations multilingual platform on the coronavirus.

We encourage you and your families to follow the recommendations provided by the World Health Organization on how to reduce your risk of infection.
