Putting a ‘value’ on investing in people

Credit

UN Environment Share the Road Programme together with University of Cape Town (UCT)  has developed a Non-motorized Transport Project Appraisal Tool to help value the wide range of benefits that investing in pedestrians and cyclists can bring. The great thing about this tool is it does not require unrealistic amounts of data.

The tool was launched in Nairobi during a National Workshop in Nairobi on NMT Investment in Kenya. Stakeholders were very excited about the tool which led to a bespoke training workshop for the tool taking place in Nairobi on 10 December, 2015.
