The Global Programme of Action for the Protection of the Marine Environment from Land-Based Activities (GPA) is opening 2018 with two exciting course offerings on marine pollution

Both courses will be delivered through massive open online course (MOOC) access.

The MOOC: sobre Basura Marina, developed in partnership with the Global Partnership on Marine Litter (GPML) is being offered in Spanish for the first time.  The course is a follow-on to the previously offered English language version. The course commences on 29 January 2018. For more information please go to www.marinelittermooc.org.

The Source-to-Sea Sustainability - Integrated Cycles in Wastewater and Nutrient Management MOOC developed in joint collaboration between the Global Partnership on Nutrient Management (GPNM) and the Global Wastewater Initiative (GW2I), commences on 15 January 2018. The courses target general audiences and professionals alike, seeking to learn more about how marine pollution from land-based sources impact human health and the health of our coastal and marine ecosytems. The courses include expert track' modules for those seeking more advanced information and tools for application in work or academic pursuits. The courses seek to inspire action by the global community in the fight to curb marine pollution and make progress toward attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals.
