South Africa

In South Africa, the main focus of the networking facility is to offer project support services, such as fostering networking and communication among SWITCH Africa Green projects and countries, distilling knowledge from project implementation for wider replication and facilitating policy uptake to support leapfrogging and avoid duplication of effort. The stakeholders expect the networking facility to encourage private sector investment through new partnerships, and assistance with access to markets and sources of raw materials through industrial symbiosis networking.
