Carina Mütschele works in the Youth, Education and Advocacy Unit within the Ecosytems Division at UN Environment. She works on both formal and non-formal education initiatives including engaging youth and higher education through the Youth and Education Alliance (YEA!) and working with the video gaming industry through the Playing for the Planet Alliance.
Carina previously worked on private sector engagement with UN Environment's Corporate Services and Governance Affairs divisions and completed a six month internship at the Aga Khan University in Nairobi, Kenya. She has also worked as an English teacher and youth worker in the past and spent time working in Central America on a variety of community-based projects.
Carina holds a degree in Political Science and Sociology from the University of Victoria in Canada. She loves food, traveling and dancing.
