Biography

Bert Fabian leads the work of UN Environment’s Air Quality and Mobility Unit in Asia-Pacific and coordinates the activities of the Global Fuel Economy Initiative, an initiative that aims to double the efficiency of the global light-duty vehicle fleet by 2050. Prior to joining UNEP in March 2013, he was the Transport Program Manager of Clean Air Asia, a non-stock non-profit regional organization. He has also worked for the Asian Development Bank on various transport and air quality projects. Bert holds a Master’s degree on Urban and Regional Planning major in Transportation, and a B.S. Biology degree from the University of the Philippines.
