The meeting intends to achieve theory and practice training and certification sessions for trainers on servicing best practices and safe handling of F-Gases. Deliver theory and hands-on practical training, following EU's standards. Training and assessment under the EU F-Gas Certification for 20 Master Trainers from eight selected countries from Africa francophone region.

This meeting is part of the activities of UNEP OzonAction's Regional Montreal Protocol Network for Europe and Central Asia (ECA network). Simultaneous English – Russian interpretation will be provided. The meeting will focus on KIP preparation and related ExCom decisions including that related to gender mainstreaming in Montreal Protocol projects. We will encourage the exchange of views / experience between participants.

The meeting aims to enhance the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (RAC) instructors from across Iraq on various aspects of RAC work.

The main objective of the Thematic workshop on KIP preparation is an orientation and capacity building for National Ozone Officers (NOO) and national experts from the Africa Francophone region. The workshop will provide national Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (RAC) experts an opportunity for training, exchange of expertise, information sharing, capacity building to collect data, utilize OzonAction tools, and design Kigali HFC Implementation Plans (KIPs) projects in the Region.

The purpose of this training is to build the capacity of the National Ozone Unit (NOU) staff, provide them with the needed information, knowledge, skills, key techniques, and contacts to manage projects and ensure the effectiveness of their NOUs as well as their contribution to the fulfillment of their countries' obligations under the Montreal Protocol and its amendments.

The Network Meeting will be held from 8-9 May and 13 May 2023.
