This report aims to give an overview of the international use of dispersants, as a basis for the development of NOWPAP Guidelines on Oil Spill Dispersants that can be used during joint response operations within the framework of the NOWPAP Regional Oil Spill Contingency Plan.
Implementation of NOWPAP contributes to the Global Programme of Action for the Protection of the Marine Environment from Land-based Activities (GPA) in the Northwest Pacific region.
