The International Environmental Technology Centre will be holding a side event during the meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm conventions, which will take place between the 24th of April and the 6th May 2017.
The central question of this event will be:
How can we apply environmentally sound technologies to the current mercury waste management practices?
The mandate of IETC, as agreed in Decision 16/34 of UNEP Governing Council, is the transfer of environmentally sound technologies (EST) to developing countries and countries with economies in transition.
