Biography

Climate Change Adaptation Specialist, Global Adaptation Network. Dani is a Climate Change Adaptation Specialist at UNEP. In this capacity, he supports the coordination of the Global Adaptation Network and regional networks, adaptation policy, and knowledge outreach events. Dani previously served as a Climate Change Consultant at the World Bank, supporting project task teams in maximizing climate co-benefits, and achieving alignment with the Paris Agreement. His expertise spans roles at UNOPS, UN-Habitat, and UNESCO, focusing on climate change and territorial resilience in the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia. Dani holds a Master's in Urban Development from Erasmus University Rotterdam in the Netherlands, specializing in Environmental Management. He also completed a fellowship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with the International Development Group, focusing on global climate change policy. Dani is currently based in France. He is a Lebanese national, fluent in English, French, and Arabic.
