Trash Free - Enhancing the Solid Waste Reduction Project in Jamaica

The Sandals Foundation has produced a video highlighting the main activities of the Whitehouse and Bluefields Solid Waste Reduction Project in Jamaica.

This video is one of five activities that the Sandals Foundation is undertaking as part of the “Enhancement of the Whitehouse and Bluefields Solid Waste Reduction Project” in Westmoreland, Jamaica. This was made possible through a small-scale funding agreement from the United Nations Environment Programme through its Global Partnership on Marine Litter. The agreement is facilitated by the Gulf and Caribbean Fisheries Institute (GCFI) on behalf of the Caribbean Node of the Global Partnership on Marine Litter (GPML-Caribe) which is co-hosted by the GCFI and the UNEP Cartagena Convention Secretariat.

This project builds upon the successes of our Trash Free Waters Initiative that was undertaken by UN Environment Programme in Panama and Jamaica (through Sandals) with grant support from the United States Environmental Protection Agency.
