Bilateral consultations

At the request of Member States, UN Environment Programme (UNEP) has over the years engaged with bilateral consultations. Through open, frank and interactive dialogue, these bilateral meetings have been established to strengthen the relationship between us and our partners.

The bilateral consultations are a forum for building trust and confidence in the current and future direction of UNEP. The dialogues address areas of specific interest and concern for the Member State, and give UNEP an opportunity to  put forward issues of priority from its perspective, as well as demonstrate its value for money as an investment for a sustainable and healthy environment.
